Our Story

Seward City Transit was born out of our sister company, Seward City Tours, which has long operated the free seasonal shuttle service for visitors in town. After years of helping travelers explore Seward, we started asking a bigger question: What if everyone—locals included—had access to reliable, year-round transportation?

In the winter of 2023–2024, we tested our first winter shuttle service. The response was clear: access matters. Since then, we've been committed to building a nonprofit transit system focused on equity, community, and connection—making it easier for residents, workers, and families to get where they need to go, no matter the season.

Our journey is just getting started, but our mission is clear: break down transportation barriers and support a stronger, more connected Seward and Kenai Peninsula.
